As a busy Mom, it can be hard to find small ways to make a holiday feel special for your family. Sometimes all it takes is a little inspiration! So here are some great ideas for celebrating the 4th of July!
Celebrating the 4th of July with Good Things to Eat!
Every year I make this lna Garten American flag cake with cream cheese frosting. It takes as great as it looks!
But if I wasn't making my cake- I would surely be baking this beautiful American Flag Pie (courtesy of The Winthrop Chronicles)
And these sprinkle cookies from Simply Gloria are super simple to make- from a vanilla cake mix… so they would be an easy and delicious dessert to take along to a family get-together!
I love this festive idea for fruit ice cubes which is perfect for the kiddos (courtesy of Momtastic)!
Ideas for Celebrating the 4th of July
Here are two fun scavenger hunt ideas- which can occupy the kids at a backyard BBQ or while they are waiting for the fireworks to start! The regular July 4th Scavenger Hunt will have kids hunting for objects to gather, the July 4th Photo Scavenger Hunt is perfect for tweens and teens with a phone- because this hunt requires you to snap pics as you go!
I love this idea from The sTori Book on making a DIY July 4th shirt using your handprint and fabric paint!
I would love to surprise my kids with these super cool firecracker favors to open while we are waiting for the fireworks to start on July 4th! (Courtesy of Hoosier Homemade)
I love this idea to decorate your lawn for a July 4th BBQ! This idea for painted lawn stars comes from The Concrete Cottage (link no longer available)!
I love decorating my table and mantle with mason jar crafts- and this idea for dying white rice with food gels and then layering it in jars has inspired me! Courtesy of This Grandma Is Fun!
