One of our favorite things to order at Boston Market (which is a great fast-food alternative!) is their delicious meatloaf! So I shouldn't have been surprised when my kids asked me to learn how to make a copycat version! Here's my version of a Boston Market Copycat Meatloaf recipe!
What Makes this Boston Market Copycat Meatloaf Recipe So Good…
I believe it is all about the sauce! A tangy mix of ketchup, BBQ sauce, and sugar- it is mixed into the meatloaf as well as baked on top (added halfway thru cooking time).
The addition of fresh homemade breadcrumbs helps to bind the meat into a “loaf” and is so much tastier than breadcrumbs from the store!
The best way to mix everything together- is with your hands! Using a mixer just turns the meat into mush!
And halfway through the baking time, I remove the meatloaf from the oven, drain the grease that has accumulated, cut it into serving-sized slices, and add the ketchup-BBQ mixture on top before returning it to the oven!

I worked at Boston Market back in the late 90’s and that is when EVERYTHING was made from scratch! I learned how to make the authentic BM meatloaf from our cook Suntok (she was with the company for many years) and your recipe is the closest to the authentic recipe I have sworn to keep Secret 😉

I’ve made this a dozen times and I must say, it’s easily way better than the restaurants. Other copy cat recipes called for a lot of extra work like diced onions. I love how simple this is, simple enough that I made it with one hand while holding my baby in the other. It times perfectly with cooking up some potatoes or whatever side you want after returning it to the oven.
Personally I double up the sauce though because yet again it’s DELICIOUS. I love making an extra loaf to meal prep some frozen dinners.

This is delicious. Cooked perfectly, fast to prep, and was just so easy. I’ve only tried a meatloaf once before and it came out a hot mess. This was AMAZING! A new family favorite and we’ll sure be cooking it again regularly.

I’ve made this recipe many times and it’s great, I bought a special meat loaf pan that separates the list from any grease or oil that collects.
