If you are looking for an easy appetizer recipe- this Maple Bacon Crack is super simple to pull together and only requires four ingredients!
Author: MomOf6
Ingredients
1 package of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls (if you can get the ones that are a sold sheet without perforations, even better!)
1 lb of thick-cut bacon
½ cup of maple syrup (the real stuff- not pancake syrup)
¾ cup of light brown sugar
Instructions
Prepare your bacon as you'd like. (I prefer to bake mine in the oven in a pan lined in nonstick foil because there's no grease splatter and clean up is simple!) You'll want your bacon to be cooked completely- but not yet crispy. Drain bacon, and crumble when cooled.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper, allowing for overhang on all 4 sides (to ensure that nothing sticks to the pan).
Unroll the crescent sheet and press to fit the entire bottom of the pan. Prick the dough all over with a fork.
Drizzle ½ of the maple syrup on top of the dough, and sprinkle ½ of the brown sugar over that. Add all of the crumbled bacon and then drizzle and sprinkle the remaining syrup and brown sugar.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until the brown sugar is bubbling and melty. Allow to cool fully before breaking into bite-sized pieces.
