There are a few things that I always take into account when planning a family get away to a new location- starting with the weather. We are most definitely a warm-weather family who loves to spend time outdoors- so I always look for a destination that will allow us to soak up some sunshine. The second thing we consider are the activities. With six kids, there needs to be plenty for everyone to do. Some of us love to just walk on the beach….
Or search for the perfect seashell…..
(I am always on the lookout for beach glass!) Some of us want to get out on the water and either paddle board or kayak….
Others prefer to ride bikes….
And we all like to swim! Next we look at location. Nothing makes me feel more relaxed than a view of the waves- especially from my bedroom window. And finally- it has to have great restaurants! While I always prefer to stay in a place where I can prepare breakfast and sometimes even lunch for my family, it just doesn't feel like a get-away unless I get to enjoy a wonderful meal that someone else cooks and cleans up! Do these sound similar to your own criteria for a great family vacation? Then let me share an idea with you….
