Every year I like to celebrate the fun we had during our DIY summer camp activities by creating a gratitude wall on our refrigerator door that showcases a collection of pictures that capture some of our favorite summer moments.
I also like to include ticket stubs from events that we've attended, wristbands from water parks, and other mementos we've collected.
I love creating this gratitude wall because every time I see it, I can bask in the happy memories of what we did together over the summer.
And when the school year begins again, it also serves as inspiration for writing assignments when the kids are asked: “What did you do over the summer”?
Plus- when the kids complain that they are “bored” and that we haven't done “anything fun lately”- I can point to the fridge and remind them of all of the great things we have done!
