While your child might be nearly done with elementary school- I'll bet they are not done yet with birthday parties! Here are some super fun 11-year-old birthday party ideas at home!

🎈A smaller-sized guest list is usually the way to go at this age! Invite a group of close friends for the party activities, and decide whether or not to make this party a "sleepover" party!
⏰ An 11-year-old birthday party should be kept to about 2- 3 hours long- unless it is a sleepover party!
🎂 If you want to provide a meal for your guests, consider doing a pasta bar, a salad bar, or sandwich bar which allows guests to fix their plate as they'd like! We find that this idea usually works out to be cheaper than ordering pizzas, and which much less waste!
🛍 My favorite party favor for kids is to take a group photo of the party guests all together and then print and frame the photos to hand out at the end of the party!
🎁 At this age, your 11-year old can either open gifts in front of the party guests and offer the appropriate words of thanks or open them after the party. But either way- it is nice to encourage that hand-written thank you notes be sent after the party!
