Attention ladies! What your man is looking for this Father's Day has nothing to do with a new tie, or an expensive golf club, or even the latest gadget for his toolbox. And while the kids will have him covered with those adorable handmade Father's Day gifts they'll be bringing home from school- handprints with poems, plants made to look like Dad's hair, and my favorite- the paper necktie that they'll want him to wear to the office-just know that while he'll smile and be delighted and sincerely enjoy all of it, but that's not what he's really hoping for this year.
What Dad really wants for Father's Day is one thing- and that's a little time alone with you. Preferably with you dressed up in a pretty package, if you know what I mean. So tuck those kiddos into bed just a little bit early on Sunday night, take a moment or two to “pretty yourself up,” and make it a Father's Day to remember! (Because what he wants in bed is not breakfast…. just sayin').
Some More “Family-Friendly” Father's Day Gift Ideas
They always say that the “key to a man's heart is through his stomach” and we all know firsthand, that this is true. So this Father's Day, forget the family barbecue or even the planned dinner out and, focus on making him his favorite meal- whatever it is- complete with his favorite chocolate cake for dessert! He'll feel pampered- just as he should on his special day!

Make Time for Him to Enjoy His Favorite Activities
Moms love to receive gift certificates for spa treatments on Mother's Day- but what Dads really want is just to have some time on their own to indulge in activities that they rarely get to do anymore since the kiddos came along.
So make him a tee-time for a golf outing with his buddies, or allow him to relax and a hammock with a cool drink, or give into his nonstop marathon of NASCAR racing. Whatever it is that would make him happy- give him a day to indulge in it.
For all the amazing Dads in our all of our lives, I wish them all a very Happy Father's Day!

Thanks Sharon what a great idea. With my husband out of work even the small gift seem expensive these days. A daddy doing what he wants for the day might be the perfect gift.
