Once kids are out of elementary school and not coming home with a big box of Valentine's cards and candy from classmates, the holiday can seem a little drab. So let's jazz up Valentine's Day for our tweens and teens with this cute “Sweet Treat” candy box!
How to Make Your Own Sweet Treat Candy Box
I had thought about ordering some small plastic tackle boxes ( like these ) which would make for very cute candy boxes, but I didn't like the idea of just using them for one holiday and then storing them away.
So instead, I decided to create my candy boxes using bento-style lunch boxes , paired with silicone muffin cups that allowed me to divide the sandwich section of the lunchbox into 4 separate candy containers! I love that after we are done using these for Valentine's Day, we can use them for packed lunches!
In my candy boxes, I used Swedish fish, sour gummy worms, Brach's cinnamon jelly hearts, Sour Patch hearts, Brach's conversation hearts, and Dove dark chocolate hearts!
