Celebrating your 7-year-old's special day with his or her friends can be both fun as well as inexpensive! Here are some great 7-year-old birthday party ideas at home that you can use!

🎈 Don't feel like you need to invite the entire class, or even reciprocate every birthday party invitation that your child has ever received. Keep your guest count at a manageable number that will make your party fun for everyone! (And just caution your child to not talk about their party at school)
⏰ A 3-year-old birthday party should be kept to about 1 1/2-2 hours long- including time for food!
🎂 Speaking of food- if you want to provide a meal for your guests, consider an alternative to pizza (which everybody does!). A pasta bar, a salad bar, or sandwich bar allows guests to fix their plate as they'd like!
🛍 My favorite party favor for kids this age is to take a group photo of the party guests all together and then print and frame the photos to hand out at the end of the party!
🎁 At this age, your 7-year old can either open gifts in front of the party guests and offer the appropriate words of thanks or open them after the party. But either way- it is nice to encourage the art of hand-written thank you notes to be sent after the party!
